SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA might be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it is alarmed with regards to the superior number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The support level produced for intervention sassa encounters a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
